It's Christmas?!?!?!?

What? It's less than two weeks until Christmas and I am so unprepared this year. Yes, my tree is up and decorated, and Yes, I have gone Christmas shopping but in no way am I ready. Nope, I still haven't finished my shopping and haven't fixed any of my ususal holiday treats, Russian Tea or decorated cookies. So much to do and so little time. Next week will be a marathon week. All of the shopping must be done because the girls will be out of school starting the 21st. Time to plan and organize.
Last weekend we had our church's Christmas musical "The Innkeeper". It was great! There was a huge cast as well as adult and children choirs. Mary participated and did a great job. She is not afraid and stands on the front row and signs the songs. Beautiful! Olivia is performing with the choir this Sunday morning. They are using bells for one song and then singing the next. She will do great I'm sure.

Please check out the video below. And I ask you what is happening while YOU are sleeping?

It's been a while.

It has been a while since I have updated. So much has taken place that blogging wasn't up there on my list on priorities. BUT, I am back and plan on updating, and updating often. Girls are in school and doing well.
We had a great Thanksgiving. We went with my in-laws to visit family in Lake City! It was fun! All the kids really had a wonderful time playing together. Food was good but being with family was even better!
I really can't even imagine that it is Christmas. This year has gone by so fast. Dad being diagnosed with cancer and then having surgery and chemo. Thank the Lord, he seems to be on the path back to health. Only a few more bumps in his road. Unfortunely, my aunt, dad's sister, is in the hospital now. It seems cancer has been found in her abdomen. More tests are being done now. She could really use prayer, as well as the family. She has been a huge support for dad and mom with his cancer, now the role will be reversed. Cancer is a beast!

Lazy days long gone!

Well I know that the lazy days of summer are long gone! We are in full fall mode. School, work, homework, softball, KidsPraise and somewhere in there we eat, bathe and enjoy each others company. The girls are loving school! Kindergarten is a BLAST according to Olivia and 2nd grade is fun according to Mary! It is hard to believe how fast time flies. I am really trying hard to enjoy all of our moments but it is really hard when we feel so busy. I am thankful for Sunday traditions that give us time together as a family. I am thankful for great friends and family and last but not least I feel blessed that God has given me my girls and husband! Enjoy your day and be thankful for what you are given!
